Kenya: Vaccine Shortage Puts New-Borns at Risk

Scores of new- born babies are at risk due to the lack of the BCG vaccine which is out of stock in the country's health facilities. The vaccine protects infants against contracting tuberculosis. According to the head of the TB program in Kenya Dr. Joseph Sitienei, Kenyans may have to wait for three weeks or even a month, following a global vaccine shortage due to a production glitch. Judy Kosgei reports.
