Approximately 65% of the children in Kiryandongo and Masindi districts are engaged in child labour, according to a new report released by a non governmental organisation, Platform for labour action. The research conducted in the two districts reveal that the problem is prevalent during the planting and harvesting seasons. This percentage is also reflected in the high drop out rate from Universal Primary Education schools.
