The death toll from a road accident that occurred near Mazeras on the Mombasa - Nairobi highway involving three vehicles has risen to 14.

All the occupants of the matatu died on the spot while 1 more victim succumbed to injuries at Pandya Hospital in Mombasa Wednesday evening. Now, in just under 48 hours, at least 25 people have lost their lives in road accidents. Sally Mbilu reports on the increasing incidents of road carnage in Kenya.
