Kenya is mourning the death of veteran politician martin Shikuku. Shikuku who has been battling prostate cancer for about three years was one of the six politicians who participated in the Lancaster conference talks in London that negotiated Kenya's independence constitution. Shikuku who represented Butere constituency in parliament until 1997 will also be remembered for his mastery of standing orders in parliament and vibrant contributions on the floor of the house that led him to be named the people's watchman.
