Kenya: Public Prosecutor Calls for Cleric Killing Probe

The director of Public Prosecuttion Keriako Tobiko has directed that a joint investigation be carried out into the murder of Muslim cleric Aboud Rogo. Jacob Ondari, the assistant deputy director of public prosecutions will co-ordinate the activities of the joint team pooled from the police, various government agencies, the law society of Kenya and Human Rights bodies. This, as Prime Minister Raila Odinga warned against the killing being interpreted as a religious conflict.
