Local bulk water utility Rand Water says it is still supplying Gauteng residents with some of the best water in the world.

Engineering News visited the utility's Zuikerbosch plant to witness the purification process first-hand - Samantha Moolman has the story. Samantha Moolman: Rand Water process quality manager and chemist Yvonne Rakobane is confident in Rand Water and its commitment to meet global purification standards. To prove this commitment, the water utility complies with SANS 241 standards as well as its own internal production standards. Rakobane explains why:
