Kenya Govt Threatens to Sack Striking Teachers

Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo has threatened to have all teachers who will not have resumed duty come Monday next week, in defiance of several court orders declaring the on-going strike illegal, sacked. The Teachers Service Commission, which employs teachers, on its part has threatened to withhold salaries of teachers who continue to stay out of classrooms.
