Kenyan Student Mixed Drinks, Says Witness

Fresh insights into what could have led to the death of Mercy Keino, a post-graduate university student who met her death under unclear circumstances, emerged today as three more witnesses appeared at a public inquest. A receptionist at the Wasini apartments from where she had been before she was found dead told the inquest that attempts by Mercy to run away were thwarted several times by Juja MP William Kabogo's bodyguards. It also emerged that Mercy could have been mixing her alcoholic drinks with one witness saying she was seen drinking wine and beer. Judy Kosgei has the latest on the proceedings of the inquiry.
