Managing Director of FAAN; George Uriesi said on the recent industrial action by the aviation workers which broke rules yesterday as it grounded Arik Air flight operations that the airline has a business model of running an airline without offsetting their bills.

Mr.Uriesi said Arik does not pay their parking and landing charges and that their claims in the press conference organised by Arik that they have been paying their bills as "Pay as you go" for the last 18 months and they are presently owing FAAN N7 billion.

The FAAN managing director who appeared on Sunrise Daily as a guest rubbished the claim by Arik that it is because the Aviation Minister's request of a 5% share on Arik air was turned down that prompted the staging of the industrial strike which crippled the airline's services yesterday.
