Parliament has today passed the National Budget for 2012-2013 amidst protest from some members. The move follows an extended stalemate between the executive and the legislature. The government agreed to add ten billion shillings to the thirty nine billion shillings earlier approved by lawmakers as a cut from other ministerial sectors.
