Uganda Legislators Clash Over Oil Regulations

The standoff between Parliament and the Executive over contentious clauses in the Oil bill appear to be ebbing as it returned to the floor for a third time. The MPs caved in to having the Minister left with powers to approve and revoke the licences of the oil companies and that government holds a 100% stake in a limited oil company.
