An extraordinary session of the National Security Council chaired by President Mwai Kibaki has tonight authorized the immediate deployment of the Kenya Defence Forces KDF to the Samburu county to assist the police in apprehending bandits that killed over 30 police officers on Monday. Ther meeting held at Harambee house this evening was attended by prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
