Police, Youth Clash in Kenya's Capital

Nairobi's Eastleigh area was a no-go zone after rowdy youths engaged anti-riot police in running battles over Sunday's Matatu blast that left 7 people dead and scores injured.

In yesterday's clash, two people died and several others were injured in the skirmishes caused as residents engaged in a blame game over who was at fault for Sunday's attack. Nairobi Provincial Commissioner Njoroge Ndirangu has put the youth on notice saying that police will take stern action against those found engaging in acts of hooliganism in the area.
