Fishermen and traders in Mbita and Mfangano islands in Lake Victoria are once again breathing a sigh of relief after a goods and passenger ferry was launched to ply between the two islands. The vessel, which was built in Mwanza, Tanzania at a staggering cost of 70 million shillings, is expected to boost trade and enhance safety on Lake Victori.
