Denmark and Sweden Budget Support Funds Misappropriated in Uganda

Over 6.9 billion shillings within the office of the prime minister was allegedly misappropriated during the financial year, 2011-2012. It is alleged that the money was diverted from the holding account of Government to the National Policy Disaster Management Account from OPM. A source told NTV that the money was intended for the activities within the Peace Recovery and Development Program in Northern Uganda. The money was part of budget support grant from Denmark and Sweden.
