Gold Fields Chair Mamphela Ramphele has described the Marikana massacre and the violent farmworkers' strike as symptoms of government's failures. She sat down with eNCA on the side-lines of the Mining Indaba in Cape Town. Ramphele spoke frankly about the country's inadequate skills development programmes, the state of the mining industry and government's poor accountability to the people it serves.
