A year and a half after South Sudan became a nation, it is still struggling to meet the terms of a 2005 peace deal with neighbouring Sudan. The US served as a mediator between the two countries during the decades of war. But some people wonder whether US President Barack Obama's administration will invest as much energy into managing the peace.
