Museveni Bans Further Land Evictions in Uganda

President Yoweri Museveni says the Government has banned further land evictions and ordered the repossession of land by those who were evicted. Shadow State Minister for Lands, Ibrahim Semujju Nganda says the President's intervention on the matter is not feasible. Nganda says Uganda's land tenure system is dualist in nature which has been largely blamed for conflict over land use and ownership.
