With the deluge of criticism that now trails the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood actor, Desmond Eliot, has said it will take a lot of funding and training to get to the seemingly stagnant industry to the next level.

While speaking on Channel’s Television Saturday breakfast Show Sunrise, Desmond said due to lack of funding nothing has inspired Nollywood to grow further.

On addressing piracy, which is the major bane of the movie industry, the actor turned director claimed that “we need a stronger hand” because people know who the pirates are but can’t talk.
