Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has launched the new HIV 'wonder drug' in Ga Rankuwa in the North West. The revolutionary single-dose treatment slashes the monthly cost of the antiretroviral from R130 to R89 per patient. The Health Department says almost 400,000 pills are immediately available. Newly diagnosed patients and pregnant and breast-feeding women are at the top of the list.
