Expert on the UK Terminating Direct Aid to South Africa

The AIDS legal network says it fears Britain's decision to cut funding to South African NGOs, could have a ripple effect on other foreign donors. On Tuesday, the UK government announced it would be cutting 19-million pounds in direct aid to South Africa by 2015. The network says in the wake of this decision, other donors might decide to follow suit and the cuts would have dire consequences on the advancement of HIV prevention and treatment.
