In this edition of My Song, singer Alicios Theluji talks bout growing up in DR Congo, and how singing in Kiswahili keeps her connected to her native land. At age seven, Theluji fled her war-torn hometown, Goma in the east of the country. The event was traumatizing, though it allowed her to discover her love - and talent - for music.
