Andrew Herscowitz, who is President Barack Obama's coordinator for the Power Africa and Trade Africa Initiatives, gave a special presentation on Power Africa at the United States Energy Association's State of the Energy Industry Forum on January 16, 2014. In his 25-minute address, Herscowitz discussed some of the progress made by the Power Africa initiative since it was launched by Obama in late June 2013. Herscowitz is a senior official with the United States Agency for International Development, which is one of several US agencies working on the Power Africa initiative.
