When Zimbabwean R&B singer Nyasha Timbe's girlfriend left for the UK, he felt somewhat abandoned. For two years they held on strong, calling each other almost every day and trying to maintain their relationship. But in the third year, Nyasha started to notice that something was off. His girlfriend was cheating on him. Heartbroken, he dived into his studio and produced a beat, followed by lyrics. Glued together they would become his song 'Zvaramba', which is Shona for 'It's not working'. In this week's episode of My Song the upcoming star revisits the time when he was introduced to love and all that comes with it. My Song showcases the personal stories behind the songs of Africa's most compelling musicians. You'll hear these musicians in their own words. No presenter, no interviewer - nothing to get in the way. Just African voices on African music.
