Remember First Lady Michelle Obama's oh-so-impactful #BringBackOurGirls hashtag campaign and the "awareness" she was spreading about Boko Haram, the Nigerian terrorist group? No? Well, then you are like most Americans. "The Daily Show" pointed out Thursday how the West united over France's Charlie Hebdo attacks, but ignored much deadlier slaughters in Nigeria that took place on the same day by Boko Haram. "Sometimes it seems like Africa is the Vegas of Islamist terror," Daily Show correspondent Trevor Noah said. "What happens in Africa stays in Africa." Noah went on to point out how similar Boko Haram was to the terrorist groups that America was paying attention to and how strange it was that they were being ignored. "Don't you see, Jon [Stewart], Boko Haram is black ISIS," he said. "...Boko Haram must feel like Tyler Perry - huge numbers but no recognition."
