Panayiotou's Defence Team to Call its First Witness

The defence team in the murder trial of Port Elizabeth businessman Christopher Panayiotou are expected to call their first witness to the stand in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Tuesday, 26th September 2017. Its alleged that Panayiotou orchestrated his wife's murder in 2015 when he hired his co accused, Sinethemba Nenembe and Zolani Sibeko to abduct her outside their townhouse complex in Kabega Park. Jayde Panayiotou was murdered in a open field in Kwanobhule near Uitenhage. A fourth suspect in the matter Sizwezakhe Vumazonke, the alleged hit-men died before the trial began. The men are facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder, kidnapping, robbery and defeating the ends of justice.
