Where: Aberdare Room, Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), Nairobi

On the sidelines of its 2024 Annual Meetings in Nairobi, Kenya, the African Development Bank will host panel discussions to take stock of progress in implementing outcomes of the Dakar 2 Food Summit held in January 2023.

This event, scheduled for Monday, 27th of May, will feature the Bank President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, alongside representatives from Governments, the private sector, multilateral organizations, development partners, civil society, and researchers.

Panelists, including Ministers of Agriculture and private sector players, will explore ways to advance Africa's agricultural transformation. Dr. Victor Oladokun, Senior Advisor to the President at the African Development Bank, will moderate the session.

The Dakar 2 Food Summit demonstrated the will, dedication, and commitments of African governments, development partners, and private sector entities towards ensuring the future of agriculture on the continent is on a progressive ascendency.
