Thank You for Making CCA's 2024 U.S.-Africa Business Summit a Success

Dear Summit Participants and Partners,

On behalf of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) Board of Directors and staff, let me extend my deep appreciation to each of you for your participation in the 16th U.S.-Africa Business Summit held last week in Dallas, Texas.  Your support, partnership, and collaboration contributed to making this Summit one of our most successful.

A glimpse of some of the highlights

We were honored to host some 1,600 delegates including:

• 6 African Heads of State or Government and a Deputy Prime Minister
• 16 African delegations including key Ministers from across the continent
• 80 U.S. Government officials including 3 Cabinet members, heads of key agencies and senior USG officials
• 1000 U.S. and African CEOs, senior executives, and entrepreneurs
• Executives of banks, international financial and multilateral institutions, as well as private equity and institutional investors and
• Over 100 local, national, and international media representatives

Your presence, insights, and active participation fostered meaningful dialogue, forged new partnerships, and laid the groundwork for impactful collaboration between the United States and Africa thus, reflecting the Summit’s theme – “U.S.-Africa Business: Partnering for Sustainable Success”.

Highlights from #USAfricaBizSummit2024 in Dallas

World leaders and top business excutives gathered in Dallas in the U.S. state of Texas for the 16th edition of the U.S.-Africa Business Summit being hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa. The annual event explores Africa growing business potential and how it can be leveraged by American investors and those from other parts of the world. The U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield led the American delegation to the summit, which brought together more than 1,500 public and private sector leaders including Heads of State, international investors, U.S. and African government officials, and multilateral stakeholders. The four-day gathering included participation by a number of African heads of government and other senior government leaders, as well as representatives for corporations large and small.

Under the theme "U.S.-Africa Business: Partnering for Sustainable Success," the Summit promises to be a pivotal moment for forging stronger ties between the United States and Africa, driving economic growth and fostering collaboration.

With the signing of $1.3 billion in deals between U.S. and African partners, the Summit also provided a unique platform for tangible progress in promoting U.S.-Africa trade, investment, and business engagement.

As we reflect on the successes of this Summit, we look forward to following up and working with you to further unlock the immense potential of the U.S.-Africa economic  relationship.
