The Government of Cameroon, the African Development Bank Group and the African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA) will launch Cameroon's Circular Economy Roadmap in Yaoundé on 18 February 2026. This initiative is funded by the African Circular Economy Fund (ACEF), a trust fund set up by the Bank Group to promote the transition to circular business models on the continent.

The circular economy represents a transformative approach to economic development, focused on reducing waste, optimising resource use, and promoting reuse. It fosters sustainable, inclusive, and resilient growth while supporting innovation and employment.

The event will bring together national and continental stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of circular economy strategies in Cameroon.

The roadmap will position Cameroon to seize the environmental and economic opportunities offered by circularity while supporting national climate action objectives and will serve as a reference framework to guide the country's transition toward an economic model that embeds circular principles in its national development plans.

ACEA is a government-led coalition of African countries working to spur Africa's transformation to a circular economy that delivers economic growth, jobs, and positive environmental outcomes. The African Development Bank host's the secretariat of ACEA, and it is funded by the African Circular Economy Fund.
