The Governance and Economic Reforms Department (ECGF) of the African Development Bank Group will host a high-level seminar on Value-Added Tax (VAT) digitalization in West Africa on 21 April 2026.

This seminar will bring together key stakeholders to discuss how digital innovations can strengthen VAT compliance and enhance domestic resource mobilization across the region. It will provide a platform to share West African country experiences on VAT, foster peer learning, and promote dialogue between public institutions and private sector actors.

The event will feature two panel discussions focusing on:

  • Public sector perspectives on VAT digitalization pathways, challenges, and opportunities
  • Private sector perspectives on compliance, capacity, and engagement
