Criminal defamation and libel charges against Angolan journalist Rafael Marques de Morais, were dropped by Angolan authorities on May 21, 2015. Morais was being sued by several generals following his investigative work uncovering widespread corruption and human rights abuses connected to the Angolan diamond trade.
