Ghana, West Africa's Darling of Democracy Heads to the Polls
Voters go to the polls on December 7 to elect a president in a race that is expected to be a tight contest between incumbent President John Dramani Mahama and opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo. Often described as one of the most stable democracies in West Africa, Ghana has so far witnessed several peaceful transfers of power.
