Powering Africa Summit Explores Competitiveness in Energy Sector

Energy Ministers from South Africa, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Democratic Republic of Congo were among lead participants in the Powering Africa: Summit in Washington, DC. Others taking part in the two-day event March 9-10, 2017 included 400 investors and 50 speakers exploring global opportunities within Africa's energy & infrastructure sectors. Maintaining US competitiveness in Africa was a key theme, setting out how commercial partnerships can deliver energy, create jobs, build capacity and spur industrial growth.
