Ugandan Army Hands Detained Museveni Critic Over to Police
Lawyers for social media commentator Frank Gashumba and his brother, Innocent Kasumba, have filed a court application asking for their release. An army spokesman says the two men are no longer with them although it is unclear exactly when they were transferred to police custody. Military intelligence arrested Gashumba, a regular critic of the president, on suspicion that he impersonated the permanent secretary.
