Former President Zuma Faces 16 Charges - Case Postponed

Former president Jacob Zuma has appeared in the Durban High Court, being prosecuted by Advocate Billy Downer who led the National Prosecuting Authority's investigation into the controversial multibillion-rand arms deal. Downer also prosecuted Schabir Shaik, Zuma's former financial adviser, between 2004 and 2006. Zuma faces 16 charges relating to 783 payments which he allegedly received in connection with the arms deal. The case was postponed to June 8.
