We Won't Rest Until Every Child is Vaccinated Against Polio - WHO
Polio is a virus which can cause lifelong paralysis and as the world commemorated World Polio Day on October 24 the WHO, UNICEF and Rotary International say they are 99% on the way to ending the virus for good. The number of polio cases has decreased globally from 350,000 every single year in 1988 to just 22 in 2017.
