Nigerian Senate Gives Thumbs Up to Central Bank Chief Emefiele

Godwin Emefiele received the nod to continue in office for five more years with the upper chamber confirming his reappointment as requested by President Muhammadu Buhari. Emefiele will be the first central bank governor to serve a second term since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999.
