Bayero University Blazing New Trail With Solar Power Plant
The Nigerian university now has the largest off-grid solar hybrid power plant in Africa which is part of the first phase of the energising education programme, run by the Rural Electrification Agency. The plant will deliver clean and sustainable energy to nine federal universities and one university teaching hospital in the next four years.
