South African Lobbyist Not in Contempt of Court Over Flag Tweet
AfriForum head of policy and deputy chief, Ernst Roets, has slammed the Nelson Mandela Foundation for attempting to "shut down voices of people who disagree with ideas of the ruling party and ruling elite." This comes after he was found not to be in contempt of court during an Equality Court sitting in the Gauteng High Court. The finding stems from a picture of the apartheid flag which Roets tweeted just hours after the same court declared that the gratuitous display of the flag was hate speech.
