Invest in Facilities, Hiring, Training for African Health

Dis-interested and ill-prepared health-care personnel, alongside poorly maintained facilities and out-of-stock medications, threaten fragile progress towards universal health care across Africa. Nigeria, the most populous country, could lead the way to better access and outcomes, but still produces too many preventable tragedies.

Regional collaborations can reduce costs and make life-saving care more widely available, in the quest to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal #3 - "ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages".
