Nigeria Governors Told to Comply With Financial Autonomy Order

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari signed an executive order on May 22, 2020, granting financial autonomy to state legislatures and judiciary. While this has been praised by some lawyers and politicians, others say the effort is too little to address the huge challenges that a full restructuring of the country entails. The president has reportedly delayed the implementation of Executive Order 10.
