Militants Attack Nigeria Governor’s Convoy, Several Killed

Two days after an attack on the convoy of his officials, Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum's convoy, was ambushed allegedly by Boko Haram militants. Thirty people, including soldiers and police members were killed. Zulum was touring Baga town in preparation for the return of thousands of residents displaced by Boko Haram militants in 2014. The governor's convoy was returning to Borno capital, Maiduguri when it was targeted again. He was unharmed in the attack.
