South Africa's Healthcare Providers Outline TB Recovery Plan

The 7th South African TB Conference is under way in Durban, where the health care community is looking at the progress and challenges facing a country that has some of the highest rates of tuberculosis in the world.

While the number of tests being conducted have increased since the decline caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr Harry Moultrie, senior medical epidemiologist for geospatial modelling at the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, says that "going forward, we will need locally targeted interventions to guide the country's TB programme".
