Nobel Green Prize Laureate Paves the Way to a Greener Future

Ghanaian environmental activist Chibeze Ezekiel, who successfully campaigned to stop a coal power plant in his country, discusses the most pressing environmental challenges facing Africa and the importance of transitioning to clean energy in an interview with allAfrica's Melody Chironda.

Ezekiel argues that renewable energy is a better alternative to coal because it is cleaner, more sustainable, and can create more jobs. He also criticizes the Africa Climate Summit for being too influenced by the fossil fuel industry and not reflecting the needs of African countries.
