Nigeria Concerned Over U.S., UK Travel Advisory's Economic Impact

The Nigerian government has expressed concern over the adverse effects of a recent U.S. travel advisory on the country's economy. The United States had issued security alerts warning their citizens of "elevated threats" to major hotels in Nigeria. The United Kingdom warned citizens against travelling to Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states.

The Nigerian government emphasised its commitment to the safety of visitors, stating that such advisories can lead to unnecessary panic and hinder investment efforts. They highlighted security measures and successful operations by security agencies to ensure safety.
