Nigeria Secures Massive Islamic Bank Funding for Infrastructure

Nigeria is actively engaging with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to secure a multi-billion dollar finance facility aimed at funding various infrastructure projects.

President Bola Tinubu has been leading discussions, emphasising Nigeria's appeal for investments and highlighting key projects like the Lekki Deep Seaport. Talks with IDB's Vice-President, Mansur Muhtar, focused on Nigeria's infrastructure needs in ports, power, and agriculture.

The high-level engagement, which included prominent governors and senators, signals the crucial importance of these negotiations for Nigeria's infrastructural and economic development plans.
