WomenLift Health Shines Light on Urgent African Healthcare Issues

The recently concluded WomenLift Health Conference played a significant role in advancing global health leadership. A diverse community of women and men leaders in the healthcare field came together with a strong determination to break down the barriers that hinder progress.

Beyond the conference walls, a visit to a fistula care and rehabilitation center by allAfrica's Melody Chironda laid bare the urgent healthcare challenges faced by women in the region. This critical need resonated at the meeting itself, where Dr. Michael Adekunle Charles, CEO of the RBM Partnership to End Malaria, emphasized Africa's ongoing battle against malaria. He highlighted the importance of sustained efforts in prevention, treatment, and education.

Mabinti Centre is a social enterprise training centre for women recovering from obstetric fistula.
