East Africa's 'Triple Planetary Crises' Threatening Food Security
Ethiopian Minister of Planning and Development Seyoum Mekonnen has identified climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution as the "triple planetary crisis" threatening food security in East Africa. "It is the frontline of our survival and the foundation of our future prosperity," Mekonnen said.
He said these environmental pressures are displacing communities, straining livelihoods, and placing mounting burdens on national economies.
