The defence teams of the four, Eldoret North Mp William Ruto, radio presenter Joshua Arap Sang, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and former Head of Public Francis Muthaura have been invited to The Hague, for status conferences which will set the dates for the trials among other rules of engagement. The suspects do not have to appear before trial chamber five Judges Kuniko Ozaki, Christine Van Den Wyngaert and Chile Eboe - Osuji, but their legal representatives have to be physically present. The status conference for the first case involving Ruto and Sang has been set for the 11th of June, while that for Kenyatta's and Muthaura's case takes place the next day.
