Africa: Over 110,000 Covid-19 Cases Across Continent

As of May 25, confirmed the COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries has reached 111,825.

Reported deaths in Africa have reached 3,353 and recoveries 45,000.

South Africa has the most reported cases – 22,583, with deaths numbering 429. Other most-affected countries include Egypt (17,265) Algeria (8,306), Nigeria (7,839), Morocco (7,433), and Ghana (6,683).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well national and regional public health departments.
